Corn continues to follow high price line in the Chicago Board of Trade.
The price of corn in the domestic market continues to follow the high line price on Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) in reflecting back to marketing the product. In July prices had an average increase of 36.5%, signaling the need for the buyer to purchase cereal. The indicator of business was seen through commercialization, which rose 13.5 percentage points in July, reaching 69.5% of production, 9.87 million tonnes already committed. Businesses that had shifted and stable, when compared to the 2010/11 season, are 3.3 percentage points higher. What promotes the availability of cereal is the rapid progress of the harvest in the third week of July, approaching two-thirds of the planted area and reaches 66.2%. The weekly increase was 15.9 percentage points higher variation to date in the 2011/12 harvest, and in comparison with the same period of last season there is a stability, because the difference is only 0.6 percentage points.
In the coming days, with the evolution of the harvest, international pressure and maintaining attractive prices, the marketing should continue at an accelerated rate.
