Corn: 30 days Drought worries producers of Aral Moreira (MS)
The drought is the main concern of producers of Aral Moreira (MS) for the planting of winter maize.
One of the areas of the city, which borders the city of Coronel Sapucaia, faces problems for more than 30 days.
According to the president of the Rural Union of Aral Moreira, Osvin Mittank while in a region of the city it rains too much, the currency is no rain since 24 January. "Soy has been harvested, but the damage in corn production is guaranteed," said Mittank.
Mittank also pointed out that the soybean harvest was exceptional and that the first expectation of productivity for corn was 80 sacks / ha. But now, with drought, this expectation was lowered to 50 bags / ha, an estimated still counting on better weather conditions in the coming days.
